Right I've been banging on about this St David's Road Trip for some time now, so hopefully some of you will already know about it.

The route has now been planned. It will be starting at Bassaleg School at around 10:00am, then Abergavenny Castle followed by Raglan Castle across the scenic route to Chepstow Castle across to Caldicot Castle and then back to Bassaleg.

The day will include: -

Bacon Rolls & BBQ at Start/Finish
Receive a memento 'Road Trip' 2009 plaque
Complete the in-car quiz
Get the chance to browse around vintage and classic cars throughout the day

For further information on the event please click on the link http://www.stdavidsfoundation.co.uk/default184b.html?PageID=66

It's £20 to enter. If you are interested a representative from St David's will be attending the next meet on 13 September to collect entry fees. It's all for a good cause, so if you are 100% coming, please add your name below: -

1. Chris Taylor (Bronze)

Sorry for not replying for a while, I've been away for a week.

Bassaleg school is dead easy to find. Turn off M4 at Juntion 28 and take signs for Risca and Cwmcarn Forrest Drive. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, you will see Bassaleg school on the left. Go to the next rounabout and turn left, keep going and take the next left. This will take you to the rear of the school. Simples!

Booking in starts from 9:15am. I've been told there are 80 cars already pre paid. If you havent booked in yet, you can still do this on the day, but you're best aiming for as close to 9:15 as possible.

Look forward to seeing all of you who can make this one.

Cheers

Chris

Awesome day, good driving roads and generally had a laugh all day :)

Shame we couldn't have dragged a few more out for the sunny drive but there's always next year :)

Thanks for coming everyone, it was a top day.

Got told I was too fast on the 1st section (slow the f**k down were Clarkee's precise words ), then got told I was too slow on the 2nd! You can't win leading a convoy

The lanes from Raglan to Chepstow were my fav. Some good sidewards action through them and George couldn't do anything about me being stuck to his bumper 8-) :P

All for a good cause. Anyone that have needed the services of St David's will know this. Roll on next year and hopefully we'll be able to get more people along. Peace :geek:
