I reckon it could be worth looking into, does anyone have a contact who has been before???

Would be a tough toss up between this and Nurby for next year though

Also, the Wagenwerks guys are attending E38, so no doubt there will be another classy vid from there too

I'd love to go, and it's not actually that much driving in the great scheme of things...

Big Ron's mk1 looks amazing on the move too...

True on both there.

I'm sure this is the one that clashes with inters? And strangely people were saying they could do Worthersee for a similar price with inters high costs!

It used to be the same week as I remember some of the guys from Suzzanah's way stopping off at inters on the way back from a foreign show which I believe was worthersee. Not sure if camping was included this year, but remember the £45 you mentioned was for entry only, camping was another fee on top.

Sounds like inters may have picked up a little this year, but I know it was quiet previous years as people went to the foreign show's instead which was being organised on e38.

Anyway thought people would like to see another top vid and def a show to do at some point :)

Would defo be up for a trip over, as long as people have plenty of time to plan/save can see any reason why we shouldn't go over :)

How funny would it be to have a ported convoy along the banks of the lake in Reifnitz... put them Europeans to shame!

£45 was all in camping too wasnt it if you prebooked before june???

Anyway its a 1700mile round trip to Worthesee - hell of a drive that

Edit: Its more like a 2000 mile round trip, even if you doing 50mpg its gonna cost £220 in fuel alone :( This would have to be a car share trip

As a rough guesstimation (Based on 2 sharing) - Price per person

Fuel £120-£200
Eurostar £50
Breakdown Cover £20
Hotel (12th-15th May) £175
Entry to show (Car and 2 people = £50) £25ea

Total per person (roughly) is about £400 notes (plus your spends obviously). Not a bad price really and probs on par with the ring trip

£45 all in previous years when the camping was a dif location ???

£175 also sounds a bit steap for hotel?

I was reading a thread that mentioned 27euros for a B&B or 10 euros for camping

Is on my list of shows to do 8-)

Seriously looking at this now and will be talking to people v.soon.

If i go, then I am gonna fly as it seems to be a much quicker and slightly cheaper option. I know its all about the cars, but after the 2 day drive o get there, how much will you use the car after?? Plus i gotta consolidate my hols a bit or leanne will go nuts :)
I know Ewan, nick and taylor are up for it.

Hotel price i looked at aint too far away either rich as if you stay out of the thick slightly rooms are €35 per person per night then go up to €80 closer in

I do like the idea of driving, for the usual laugh and the wicked roads/scenery, but a 16/17hour 1000mile drive is daunting (even for me and I regularly drive to scotland and back at 52mph) so I think the flying option would be better.......more lash oppourtunity also :)

Hope this picks up momentum, would love to do it :)

Reet Then,

Having gauged some interest here and seeing a few faces over the weekend I have a list and a semi-plan.

I have 12 names so far so I will be provisionally booking a hotel very soon as they will be booking up fast.

Names on the list:

GazB
Ewan
Nick
Tom
Clarkee
George
Taylor
Robin
Rich
Suzzanah
Ade
Hayley

I will need aprox a £40 per person deposit by the 25th of September to reserve these rooms.

There is also space for another 2/3people at this guest house I am currently looking at if anyone else is interested. We will be staying in Austria for 5 nights at an approx cost of €35 per night.

I will be flying and if you are too, then it is up to yourselves to book the flights. There is plenty of time to do this, however I do not know how many flights will be available to klagenfurt airport on the day. Flights are currently £160 - £180 from Heathrow.
If you are driving this is not a problem, you will just need to book your ferry/train.

Hopefully, those flying can all get on the same flight and there is currently an early morning flight that is £170.

Additional costs if your coming my way will be transport to heathrow (minibus if there are enough) and a short tranfer the other end (5-7 mile).
Other than that its just your spends :)

Also if anyone else can find a better deal then let me know. The guest house I am looking at is about a 15 minute walk from the lake and then a speedboat to the other side. I did look in Rienfiez which is right at the heart of the show, but prices are about £190 greater.

I am flat out at the moment, so will add more info as and when I think of it :)

Gaz
