Great stuff there Guy, hols were fab thanks.
With regard to the battery tray, keep an eye on it as it is surprising how much flex happens in the floor by there when the battery weight is placed on top of it. Mine wasn't fixed down quite as well as that so the panel flexed & cracked. Just something to keep an eye on that's all. _________________ 8v's forever

Cheers all

It depends on what look your after tom , hardcore racer you - leave the lips on and use rivets , or for the more pro look you bond and fill once the lips are removed , i'm tryin to work out the best way to do that at the mo .
Little update i started cleaning the engine bay got bored and decided to do someother work instead , so ive got the rallye rad in and mounted (Cheers to Gareth for the rad )
Then i hit a small snag theres no way in hell the standard rallye intercooler will fit ,without some surgery to either the slam panel or the front engine crossmember (possibly both) , this filled sunday with me sketching various alternative ideas down , doing various trial fits . The lower outlet also looks like its going to be really close to the passenger side gearbox mount and i cant push the intercooler forward without it actually being outside the car or cutting the front panel open which wilst looking hardcore is not really in keeping with the car i'm basing the project on .
I'll find a way since i cant afford a custom cooler just yet _________________
